Advanced Features

Wang Tiles

Export supports Wang tilesets for terrain blending:

  • Corner and edge Wang sets
  • Auto-tiling in Tiled
  • Seamless terrain transitions

Dual-Grid

Dual-grid tileset support for:

  • More flexible terrain transitions
  • Reduced tile count compared to Wang sets
  • Compatible with Tiled's latest features

3x3 Tileset Format

Compact 3x3 tileset format for:

  • Minimal tile sets with maximum variation
  • Efficient memory usage
  • Quick auto-tiling setup

Sprite Fusion Compatibility

Exports are compatible with Sprite Fusion:

  • Import sprite sheets directly
  • Matching tile conventions
  • Seamless workflow between spritesynth and Sprite Fusion

Tips

  • Keep tile sizes consistent (16x16 or 32x32 recommended)
  • Leave 1px margin between tiles to prevent texture bleeding
  • Use power-of-two image dimensions for best performance
  • Label tile groups in spritesynth for easier import organization
